Adult Lectures and Workshops

My historical research is conducted to high standards and has resulted in participation in academic conferences and formal adult museum lectures, including a lecture on the much-debated topic of 'Women and the Wars of the Roses Army' at the National Army Museum in 2004, and an interactive 'hands-on' session for adults on 'Early Tudor Health and Hygiene' at Tutbury Castle. Handling sessions for adults may include hands-on craft activities (such as textile-production or medieval painting) as well as handling of original and reproduction objects. I use a professional research approach when preparing these sessions, and I am in the process of submitting a re-written historical lecture for publication. Although my research interests are primarily late medieval health and hygiene, particularly medicine and food and diet, I am able to cover a wide range of topics.
