Object handling and analysis
Several different periods can be covered in one session or examined separately. Previously Roman, Medieval and Tudor object sessions have been designed for different age groups from primary school children to adults. This includes handling, accurate drawing, and object analysis of a range of original and reproduction itmes. The function of some objects is obvious whereas others take some investigation. The manufacture, materials, previous ownership and value of the objects is explored. More applied sessions for adults include the handling and analysis of ointments, medicines, cosmetics and perfumes made to historical recipes.
